'Inclusion & Deafblindness'
There is still a long way to go before inclusion becomes a reality.
Children with dual sensory impairments or 'deafblindness' are particularly at risk.
And they are also particularly diverse: deafblindness is a spectrum.
This is all the more reason for us to strive for diverse inclusion.
Why?
Because worldwide, 86% of these children are excluded from school.
Because deafblindness is still far too little known, also in Switzerland.
Because inclusion of children with deafblindness drives inclusion forward in general.
How?
We are supporting the next World Conference from 19–23 July 2027 in Davos.
We are contributing to positive developments, particularly in Italian-speaking Switzerland.
We are carrying out the duties of the Presidency of Deafblind International.
